It will be for 2 or 3 people, specs and reds. What say the OB?

I used Jeremy Waltrip at Waltrips Saltwater Guide services. Used him 2 weeks ago and went great. Limited on trout early. 2nd time I have used him in 2 years. Limits both times.

Waltrip is great, Jeff Poe (if he's still doing it) is also great. Best lodging in my opinion is by Hebert's marina.

we use these folks- they have a number of options next to Hebert's marina....

Jeff, Mary & Nick are gone and now fish Dauphin Island.
Grosse Savanne has their place on the lake and rent by the night with or without guide. If you call the main GS #, ask for Bobby who handles that end of their business or;
bobby.jordan@sweetlake.com
Majority of the guides on the lake are very good.

yes it is. i't will be good fishing for the foreseeable future as long as no natural disasters/hurricanes come mess up the water. I think this year is shaping up to be the best it's been in some time. Biggest factor for slow days of late has been the wind.

Scott has 2 lodges and access to multiple boats and captains. Always a good time, and always on the fish.

Jeremy usually charges $600/boat. This month he is running a special because of cancellations from covid. $450 if 2 guests, $500 if 3 guests on a trip. He can also place you with lodging.

Thx for the info. I’m ashamed to ask this but what’s a fair tip if he puts me on the fish? My son and I on a 450$ boat, is a 200$ bill cool?

Very cool, like top 1% way cool. Catching is the gravy, from dock to dock is where we earn those bennies.

Usually tip my guides $25/head. That's an extra $50 for you and your son.

Brian Hanchey with Louisiana Backwater charters. His brother owns Bay Hippie and has places to stay.

Jeremy Waltrip is always good

Andrew Soileau with High Tide Charters is good too

Kemo guides part time and catches fish. Just go with him

Came to post these exact things. Brian's place is legit and is right by Heberts in Deatonville. I would also add Ben Boudreaux with Get Reel Charters.
