Went to Venice Saturday as well...from daylight to 1:00 three of us had 115 in the boat and left them biting. Mostly white trout, a few specs, reds, flounder. Caught White trout every cast for 2 hours.

Socks and Sandals bet you fished the west diversion with that many white trout.

Specks have been in a few different holes as with the whites, but the whites have been insanley thick there.

Best part of the trip was watching the sun rise over the federal reserve down there

Just a little refresher on limits.

Limits are in your possession, in de boat or de truck.

If your headin home in yo truck and have 26 trouts they CAN nail ya, just sayin...

Yea it aint gonna happin, but dats the way the law is wrote...

Thanks for the incorrect information. The law is clear that you are allowed to possess two bag limits of trout if you are on land and not fishing.

Fish Fry for the SEC championship game! Plus, we paid two mexican's $30 to clean them all at Venice Marina so it was worth saving them. It would have taken me 3 weeks to clean that many fish.

sounds like a plan. Just make sure to put them in ice water for ab 30 min to firm them up before frying.. They get really mushy when u freeze em. But should be alright since u JUST caught em. I recommend a corn flour based fish fry (louisiana new orleans style) bc they are oily and the corn meal batter will get wet quick

Getting them as cold as possible is almost as important as how you cook them. I recommend ice water bath to a pre-batter solution of some mustard, beer, Tony's then batter up ab 10 small pieces and drop in the fryer @ 350-375 and fry till they start to get quiet. Shouldn't take but a couple min for each batch. Enjoy

Get the filets ice cold and go straight to some Crispy Southern and into the oil. No need to dredge in anything wet.
