Lithium Trolling Motor Battery Help

I need new batteries for my trolling motor and think I want to move to Lithium.
Trolling motor is the 24v 80lb MotorGuide xi5 saltwater. Boat is a 22’ CC
I plan to use two 12v batteries. What ah would be best? I saw Li Time has a 100ah for $349 each. Would that be appropriate?
Also I have a pro sport two bank charger already. Can I use it to charge lithiums or does it depend on model?

100ah lithiums should be plenty. I went a little overboard and got a 175ah 12v for my 12v trolling motor and I could probably run that thing for a week straight. So 100 should be plenty. As for the charger, anything with an AGM setting will work. I use the cheapo charger from Walmart and set it to AGM.

3X80ah lifepo4 batteries could go all weekend without a charge on my 23ft bay boat with 36v motor. If I did it again I would go with smaller, cheaper batteries... You can use way more capacity of a lifepo4 than a standard battery. I'd be OK with the 50ah... honestly.

Have heard great things about Ionic lithium. Been reading that Dakota is shite. At least their customer service. I would find one with the best warranty/customer service.

I did a good bit of research before purchasing my lithiums and they had a lot of threads where bass guys ran 50ah for multiple days. Those guys stay on the trolling motor. I figured I wouldn't burn through quicker than them. Haven't regretted my 50ah. $349 for 100AH is a really good price though.

I have 2, 36v Power House lithiums in parallel on my 25foot CC and absolutely love them.

Make sure you're on-board charger can handle the lithium or you'll need to replace that too....and it depends on make and model.

Nice!! What aH are they? The difference between two 50 aH and two 100 aH is $300. Trying to decide if it’s worth it.

Good call. I have a separate MK 2 bank charger for the house/cranking batteries. I'll check it as well.

Mine are 60ah I believe. I have a Power Pole charge onboard charging them and my engine and house battery. I dont even plug them in to AC anymore

I have Ionic 12v 50ah on my 24v trolling motor and it has doubled my capacity from my old 100ah lead acid batteries.
Ionic has been solid. The blutooth app has been nice. Had an issue last month where I hooked up my portable LiFePo4 charger to one of them and it read an error. Emailed customer service and they sent me a prepaid shipping label for a warranty evaluation. The following day I hooked the charger back up to see if it would read differently and it read "<7v", which is dead, and started a wake up / revive protocol. 10 hours later the battery was fully charged and working fine, so I didn't ship it off. It seemed to have gone into sleep mode or something. Other than that they have been flawless.

I went with 60 AH for my 24 volt TM, and I know I could have gone smaller. I have never gotten them below 80% in one trip.

Following this. I am currrently running two Group 27's on with my 24V Minn Kota and they are on their last leg. Thinking that going to Lithium.

For the TM, I would have no problem going cheap on lithium. Crank is another matter. The ones I bought have been fantastic though, and going lithium has been one of the better moves I have done in boat ownership.

Most MKs charge lithium unless it's an old unit.
