I've been killing them lately at Bruin burning traps across the top of coontail. My preferred rod for this is a 7' Medium Heavy St. Croix Mojo.

704CB glass Dobyns.

It's limber compared to the medium heavy's I throw basically everything else with, but it's perfect ripping the trap out of grass and not ripping it out of a fish's mouth. It bends like you have a monster on when it loads up on a normal fish.

If I'm ripping through grass, same. If I'm fishing rocks, flats, open water, etc, then same setup but with a fiberglass rod.

I have a 610 Medium glass Composite shimano expride that I really like for lipless and chatterbaits when I'm ripping grass.

I’ve been focussing on our ranch so much that I haven’t been fishing in a while.

I use a falcon cara lipless if I remember.

Found a deal on a lot of Ark rods. Between the 4 I got, I should be able to cover lipless and a few other things. Probably now have a dedicated chatter rod as well.

Ark rods

I've seen them all over the place on BOGO sales and have often wondered how they fished. I'd love to hear some feedback once you've had a chance to fish them

This, besides a mh Expride as a standalone pond rod this is the most versatile rod I've ever tried. Throws everything from 1/4oz spinnerbaits to 6xds
