Levelling kit install on Tundra

So I was hoping all I would have to do is uninstall the sway bar links (replacing both) in order to give me enough clearance to install the new strut with the leveler. Yes? No? Do I have to loosen the ball joint and control arm too?

Don’t do it. Your ride is gonna suck.
Do a real lift.

I put bilsteins on mine. Ride is better than stock. Went up 2.5” I believe.

What was the cost to do that? Just bought a tundra last month and looking to level out and lift slightly. Thanks.

I got a 3:1 leveling kit from Rough Country for my Tundra and put some Nitto Ridge Grapplers on it. I did not replace struts. The front spacers give you enough to go 2.5-3" and then 1" spacer for the rear. Less than $200 for the kit. My ride is at least as smooth (if not smoother) due to the bigger tires (more air between me and the road). The only difference in the ride is more so in the handling due to a higher center of gravity.

+1 on Bilsteins.
I've got them set all the way up in the front and coachbuilder shackles in the back.
35x11.5r20 Ridge Grapplers which have been awesome. They don't make any noise on the road and are wearing great. I have 35k on them and expect to get another 35k no problem.

good info... thinking about lift/level on my Tundra... I've never done one so I'll probably have it done just to be on the safe side.

For the front 2 I think it was around $600. That included a front end alignment.

I've did the hockey pucks on my last tundra. I didn't have any problems, but everything I've read says that they aren't great for the truck and the cost of new bikstein isn't that much.
If I had to do it over, if go with the larger lift shackles in the back. It sits almost perfectly level now and any decent load squats it a little.

Better to have it done at a shop. It will need to re-aligned anyway.
