Good choice. I have the Ruger #1 Varmint in .25-06. It’s my favorite rifle.

Ive never heard of buyer's remorse with one. Can a cheaper AR-10 do the same? Absolutely. But weight savings, reliable function and battle tested are what you're paying for in that set up. On top of that? You have A LOT of people who'd never shot one, handled one who'd said things bad about it. But that's like anything. A toyota corrola owner stating a BMW 7 series is a waste of money and unreliable....

I've heard some lay claim its not as accurate as price paid. 5 shot 3/4-1 MOA is accurate ENOUGH for a battle rifle.
