Have come around to adding this to my collection...trying to sort through what is stock, what is add-on, and what works best...will probably go 5.56

Looking at the X95 with an add-on hand guard that I could tuck a suppressor

Experience and recommendations?

Thats the gun that the Missouri thug used to kill all those Baton Rouge officers.

I have the SAR. It's a good shooting gun. Really fun to shoot. Stock trigger is really bad and should be changed out first thing. IF you are not familiar with bullpups it's very strange shooting with all the weight in the back of the gun. A suppressor will help balance it out. I bought mine out of sheer novelty, and looking back I probably would take that 2K and spend it on a high end AR.

Really sad that whenever I see that gun I think about that as well.

There are 2 novelty guns I've toyed with buying over the years: a Tavor and a Scar-H. Every time I get close I read an opinion like yours. I don't see too many people who just absolutely regret their purchase and hate the gun, but I see a lot of "eh, it's not bad, I don't know if I would do it again". Thanks for the honest feedback.

Expensive, back-heavy, trigger is doo doo.

But, they're fun to shoot in a novelty way and, of course, you'll get a compact rifle with a full length barrel.

That's exactly my thoughts.

I have shot the Tavor. I would have bought one for another project but the Steyr Aug fell in my lap. The Steyr is great but also has a crappy trigger. I will not change it out.

Just rent one at the range. They're fun to plink with from time to time but not much else.

I'd much rather have a mid grade rifle of another type. I'm not a big novelty guy.

Been looking at the TS12 shotgun. Looks pretty badass. 15 rounds in 3 tubes. Gas operated with 2 settings for 2 34 and 3 inch.

I got one identical to that. Black Aces tactical. It's a lot of fun, naturally.

The trigger is not as terrible as folks make it seem.

Good gun if it fits your wants.

The accessories always seemed to incorporate really well into the gun, but anything IWI does is usually done well.

IDF is transitioning AWAY from the Tavors and to the M4. There’s a reason.

If you have funny money to burn, then add it to your collection.

If you want to train on a weapon that most of your patriot countrymen have and along with it copious parts support and interoperability, go with AR platform.

My two cents worth, which now is worth -12cents due to Herr Biden.
