Go see Richard at 4 H Equipment in Denham Springs.

They carry Exmark, Bushhog, Grasshopper and Hustler.. Great people to deal with and they're running some good fiancing options if you need them.

Word of advise never by a lawnmower from a dealer unless he works on them also.

He will regret not having bought a zero turn for a bit more money in the long run. Probably cut your cutting time in half.

Depends on the guy's budget. I'm assuming he wants to stay under 2k based off the links he put up.

I will also say that I suggest staying away from the cheapest zero turns. You can get the baddest riding mower out there for the price of the cheap zero turns. There are alot more parts on a zero turn that can break, so if you get a zero turn, spend the extra money and get a nice one.

Zero turns are without a doubt much faster and sometimes easier to operate. You just have to decide if cutting the grass faster is worth the extra money to you. Any mower will last far longer than 5 years is properly cared for.

Do yourself a favor and get a zero turn mower, they're alot more fun to mow with. I bought a gravely last year. They have pretty decent prices on zero turn mowers.

Another vote for Gravely. I've had on for five years now. No problems yet, except for ethanol laced gas eating my fuel lines.

Personally, the best mower I have ever operated was a JD 72" diesel zero turn. I think they run around $13000

Gravely

Will be the last you ever purchase. Dealler in Folsom/Sun area also does complete service and support. Can't be beat.

Get an exmark. I've cut grass off of several different types and exmark is the best. Whoever said to not buy a zero turn has lost their mind, unless of course it was strictly due to the zero turn costing more. You need to consider a few things before buying. And in no particular order: Deck thickness is an important thing, exmark is good there. Next would be any type of warranty. Next would be to make sure whoever you purchase the mower from will do service work on it. You probably won't have to take it in much if you're only cutting your yard but still nice to have somebody you know will do a good job. If you buy a mower from them they will take great care of you. The type of motor is a big thing, kohler would be a good choice. There are other things to consider but I think you would be very happy with an exmark.

A lot of people are liking Bad Boy Lawnmowers right now. To me there kind of analogous to a hyundai genesis, they're obviously not a Mercedes (scag, exmark) but for the price they seem to stack up pretty well.

I've had a 48" for 4yrs now and love it. Takes me 2 hrs to cut 5 acres, all I've done is change the blades and regular maintance. They are built heavy duty and holds lot of fuel.
