I wish, they have not bought up everything yet though

You are geographically on the money though.

Levees

Anything that makes the water move south faster. Levees, straightening bends, digging channels deeper.

I read an article that someone posted here maybe a year ago. Said that the levees south of Baton Rouge will need to be heightened in the not too distant future.

One of them has an Instagram page thats kinda neat if you're into farming and God. I know the river last year gave them hell. They tried to even build some small levees to keep some land dry but they were over-topped. Another year like last would suck bigly for them. They don't make families much like them anymore thats for sure.

What makes matters worse is the the way the road is. It’s not like you can just run the road in your boat and access the camp when water is up. Once you figure out the path through the woods by boat you have to deal with the current.

Once the water goes down you can’t expect any help from the county on road maintenance so it’s always pretty bad until folks get together and try to fix it

Spot on. I'm not sure I have ever seen that road get as bad as it did this year. It would also help if the water would stay down long enough to install that gigantic culvert. Prob wont happen tho $$....
