Somewhat. Opposite way of fisherman's retreat when you cross the green bridge...past Cenac's setup.

We are close to the pumping station off Gabi ct.

If you saw a 24ft champion w/ twin 150's and a T-Top you saw us.

10-4

If you ever see an all white 22ft Blue Wave center console...or a Waverunner rigged out for fishing...cruising around, give me a shout.

Saw y'all out there last Saturday actually. That rig is badass. Though I've always wondered, why the twin 150s? Lot's of offshore-ish fishing?

I love it. The twins are for running offshore (block 58 mainly). It is overkill IMO but it is nice knowing we can get back on one engine. I would prefer a smaller boat this time of year fishing inside though. The T-top with curtains makes the cold mornings much warmer while running.

I think I remember your boat also. Easier to fish w/o a T-top.

Is Cannon's open? I passed by about 3 weeks ago and the water control gate was closed. I had read in the paper that it was going to be closed until we get some rain.

Hmm i will have to check I pass right there everyday on the way home and haven't noticed. Not saying it isn't closed though. I would rather an extra 20 min boat ride than have to drive down dularge and fight that marina.

ETA: If ya'll see a 17' boston whaler with a 90 with one occupant Saturday it will probably be me

Okay, that's what I figured. We're relatively new to fishing Dularge (fished Cocodrie when I was younger with my Dad) and have yet to make it to any of the rigs (mostly because 1) we don't know how and 2) my dad is scared) But we may follow a friend of mine out to Mardi Gras once it starts getting warmer and the trout move back out...need to learn the area a little better.

It's only distinguishable because no one else has a Blue Wave out there. Otherwise, it's a pretty standard looking boat

If it's closed you could always just launch for free at the Fire Station and get to Miner's from there...probably only add another 10 minutes.

Only tricky part is going through Racourcci(Sp?) between Decade and Mechant. That is a shallow shallow lake. It is tough to beat the Dularge area this time of the year but I love late spring when the trout are outside. When the trout are at Mardi Gras, Enstar, and Last Island trout fishing is the best IMO.

From there i would probably take the navigation canal down to Falgout canal. Me and my crazy cousin fished lake boudreaux from the fire station.

That is easy IMO. But I have been crossing it for 30 years

Nah I was talking about getting to Mardi Gras from Falgout Canal. What he said was spot on, from what I've been told, the trickiest part is running through Raccourci because it's so shallow.

Jordan,
I'll have my boat and camp ready for early spring, so we may have to help eachother out when it comes to learning the area. I've been fishing out of Dulac with a buddy for several years now and know where I'm going but not exactly how to get there.

I have it on GPS and know where to run and still kick up mud at times. I liked running through little deuce much better even though it had some shallow spots.

Navy Blue. I know the guy who had the yellow one but he sold it and got another champion with twins on it.
