My background of my phone is a picture I took at 2 o'clock bayou, which I think I took when you and I went there. Its a beautiful place.

I'm going to be in Dallas until Sunday, but I'm off Monday and Tuesday, so I will be fishing those two days. Not sure where, yet. Lacassine and the Sabine probable.

I've heard the fishing hasn't been that good. I'm just going run some gas through the motor.

I’ll say this much. Before these Facebook reports pages started up, I used to never see such a cluster f***. But when the people start posting their catches on those pages, it’s like clockwork.

ETA: A few weeks back the perch bite was on. People had been posting all of their catches on those pages. I decided I would try doing some bass fishing, but I went on a Thursday. Figured on a weekday I wouldn't have to deal with much boat traffic. Well, I got to the boat ramp at 5:30 am and had to wait in line for 30 minutes to launch my boat. I also had to idle almost everywhere I went because of the amount of people fishing.

once you get away from the crowds I don't see many people...
this weekend it will be packed I imagine...
still working on the house so it will be another week or so for me...

:edit: oh and it will be during the week...

Damn, it was hot today! Very crowded as well. I couldn't find the bass bite and spent my morning searching for new areas, it was only my second trip to Henderson. Gave up on bass and went Sacalait fishing. Caught the tale end of that bite and headed home with 10. The old baws that had been at it since sunrise had 40+ sacalait.

Had the week off and decided to do a little bit of fishing. So, Tuesday I went to Little Alabama Bayou. It had been a while since I had been, and it’s not that far from the house. Early morning the bite was good. Then it kinda fizzled mid morning. Around early lunch they caught a second wind, but shut down shortly after noon. Brought home a limit. All between 12” and 16” (with one exception, an 11” fish that unfortunately was gut hooked. Can’t let him go to waste).

Had the GoPro rolling just for fun. Bass Fishing Little Alabama Bayou 9/10/19

Had such a good trip on Tuesday, I said what the heck and went back on Friday. Early in the morning I was greeted at the ramp by celltech. It was good to meet you

Much like Tuesday, it was an early morning bite then it shut down around noon. Could’ve easily had a limit that day, but I just couldn’t bring myself to keep one under 12”. Caught a few decent fish, but the rest were mostly dinks. Came home with 9 bass and one goggle eye.

And the GoPro vid for Friday. Bass Fishing Little Alabama Bayou 9/13/19

The bayou was pretty good to me this past week. One thing to note. If you go down that way, bring bug spray!

been working on the house and haven't been out for a few months...
wife could tell I was in withdrawal...
went early this morning to Henderson...launched under the interstate since I ride from BR...
ended up catching 12 of which 7 were around the 2 lb range...rest were dinks and some good size goggleye...
all released...
it was actually nice this morning with a breeze and was off the water by 10...

Pillage...did you launch at the main ranger station?...
I usually get off at Whiskey Bay and hit the one in the woods on landing road...

I considered going to Henderson on Friday. But it’s a much further drive since I moved. And after having a good day on Tuesday at Lil Bama, it was an easy decision.

Glad you got on a few.

I believe that’s the Big Alabama south launch. I take the Sherburne exit off of 190. Then it’s about a 3 mile drive south on a shell road. The north launch for Big Bama is right next to the shooting range. I guess that’s by the main ranger station. About a quarter mile further is the Lil Bama launch.

Today was my first day off 10 days, and tomorrow i start a 12 day hitch, so i was not about to wake up early this morning, but i did head out to the calcasieu river after lunch for a quick trip. Fished for about an hour or so and caught one dink. I had never been there before so i did some riding around looking for spots. Just glad i got to run the boat, and set the hook.

Damn nice trip! I was too busy this weekend to pull out the boat so I went pond fishing. Caught 8 yesterday and 5 today. No bigguns.

Went to Fausse Point, brought the wife and 3 year old so most of my time was spent retying and clearing snags. Caught two dinks.
