I might be fishing in Mississippi opening weekend. Private pond thats overstocked. Last year went home with a 40 qt full of fillets. If we dont keep them the owner wants them thrown on the bank, 60 acre pond

plenty of it enough to not fish some areas I wanted to look at...
BLR landing and Pelba was clear...flats were clear of it...
mainly in the canals...
few logs floating in the lake so beware...

Bump!

Why has this thread died? Where is everyone going on the 3 day weekend? I’m probably headed to Henderson on Saturday. My results will determine where I go on Monday.

Daddy duty

It’s ok, though. I still have three weeks of vacation to take before the end of the year. So....

Yeah me too, my wife has to work all weekend. I'll have lil Haircut with me on Monday but Saturday he gets to spend the day at Grandma Haircut's house while I try to find some dinner.

They are catching them up in Henderson. I don't know where but the pics I am seeing are impressive.

There is no worse way to start a workday then having to drive across that bridge and see all the baws out there catching fish!

This past Saturday I had to go to New Orleans. Took 190. Two O'clock Bayou launch was pretty packed. So, they must be catching in there. Looks like the water level had dropped some. That's a good thing. Cause there was a lot of water up in the trees last time I went, and the water was dirty. I saw in another thread that celltech caught a few in Little Alabama recently. I haven't heard much out of Benoit. A buddy of mine did pretty well in Fausse Pointe not too long ago. And Lake Martin is a grass pit and the water is really green last I heard. But a friend of mine caught a couple of dinks there not too long ago.

That's about all of the reports I have for the area.

I brought my boat back down so I may have to make a quick trip to Henderson one day.

I went a few weeks ago and it was terrible. High water and it smelled awful. Gar everywhere I went. Couldn’t find any good water. Hopefully your buddy went after me and things have changed.

I had to go back and look at his FB page. Looks like that was about 2 months ago. Didn't think it was that long ago. I've been busy and have lost track of time.

ETA: he was a few short of a limit, but they were some decent fish.

I only caught 4 but that was by 7, the rain pushed me out of there. It was looking like a good morning. I'm probably going to try the south end of big bama this weekend.

I may have to take a trip there soon. Little Alabama and Two O’clock are some of my favorite fall spots. The beauty and the serenity alone makes the trip worth it. Catching fish is lagniappe.

I could imagine that Two O'clock is hot right now with the water dropping.
