Well, Is it just Mike or does this go back to Robert Milner?

I know a few people who have gotten pups from Milner at his new kennel which is Duckhills and they love them...I hope they are great because I am picking one up from him later this month.

He is from all I can gather from talking to him and people who know him personally a great trainer and honest guy. He started Wildrose and brought the dogs over from Europe and started the gentle dog training. He then sold it...I wonder why?

I talked to someone who's sone worked at wildrose and knew Milner and they suggested me get the dog from Milner. He isn't as big as Wildrose, but always answers his phone for questions etc...just seemed less commercial.

Amen.
The hardest word in the English Language for a Labrador....HONOR.

I lol'd. You got that right only because "Leave my breakfast alone" is more than one word.

I have paid too many entrance fees only to have a break cut the weekend short.

Then the damn dog looks at you like "how was I to know?"

For a pet only. No need to search too hard. Just make sure parents have been tested (OFA) Good-Excellent on their hips, and negative for CNM and EIC (Excersize Induced Collapse), to put odds in your favor your dog will live long and healthy.
For a gun dog, most of the breeders listed will suffice. You can go to the HRC (hunting retriever club)websight and find some good breeders as well.

I can guarantee you will be 100% pleased with the final product from Bear Creek and Steve Riggins...Ive hunted over several dogs from him and when he's done with it, they are flawless IMO...I'm hoping to get a puppy off of Player's next litter...most beautiful yellow labs I have laid eyes on

Has anyone heard of David Miller from the st. Joseph, la area?. He's pretty well renowned around the state for training labs.

Yeah. I dated his daughter in high school. Every time we see each other, all we talk about is dogs.

I'm thinking at this point I am leaning to Duckhill and Milner. Still hope I'm a little ways away from buying one.

But Milner's kennel is only about 25 minutes or so from my house.

I have one of his most current litter. I can't wait until I get him out of training. I was pleased with him before training.

They do have some really good looking yellow labs. I've had labs all my life and they are some of the best looking ones I have ever seen even comparing it to magazine dogs. So many people have complimented me on my puppy so far.

Have you been to his Kennel yet?

I will be up there next weekend to pick my pup up...if you have any questions or haven't been there yet.
