Does anyone have an update on the reopening of Kenner boat launch? I went to Bonnabel boat launch on Sunday and I thought the circus was in town. No parking and the launch line was 10 boats deep. Getting tired of going to bayou segnette to launch

Did they ever fix and open the West End boat launch? When I lived in Metairie I would go there instead of Bonnabel due to the crowd.

Yes West End was open when I was out there riding my bike a month or so ago

The West End boat launch is open. I would also like to know if the Kenner launch is open.

good to see them fixing it. last time i used it the first 2 bays on the parking lot side had no concrete left except just enough to grab your trailer and destroy it after it dropped off the ledge in 2ft deep water before the boat even floated.
i used to use it often at least twice a month but havent been there in over a year now. looks like the deepened it as well by removing the silt. it was getting almost unusable at low tide even with my flatboat and i plowed mud half way out.
did they give a date its expected to reopen? i might go take a ride over by there just to see it up close.

Yeah weirdly last summer (or the summer before I really dont remember) they dredged it, but it really did not make a difference and you could only use one back down.
I am sure the local trailer shops were happy before they decided to fixe it.

New, longer pads are being added.
That will be real improvement for sure.
