Are there launch areas for kayaks on northern shore of Lake Verrett.
Coming from Hwy 70 down to northern areas of lake

I've launched out of Attakpas before, not really the north end though. It was summertime and I had what looked like a 12 footer following me wherever I went. I gave it up and let him have it. Wouldn't advise in warm temps.

The only actual yak launch I’m aware of is in Pierre part down Lee drive across from the tennis courts. That’s about a mile yak to bayside then you can access the lake. Only reason I know about it is because they took about a year blocking up traffic to fix the road and build the launch. Didn’t know launching a yak was that complicated.

Why exactly is a launch necessary for a kayak?
