Quick hunt this morning in Walthall county, ms, oak flat to the right, green field to the left, bedding between, was not my first choice of stands for this am but wind and the need to be out early made that decision for me

Have some friends coming up later and will do a quail shoot with Thornhill, always puts in a good show and get to pull the trigger

Waisting time sitting in a groumd blind behind a 1 acre pea patch on our little farm. The deer have vanished completely. Talked with the guy that has the lease bodering my 20 acres and he is disgusted. Said all they get on camera are hogs. Same for me.

Washington parish. 7mm08 looking at lanes.
Had the thermal looming for pigs just before shooting time and had a doe cross 150yds away. Exactly an hour later at 715 I look up and see a bigger bodied deer going into the woods right where she went. The one minute I wasn't staring down the lane

Actually I wasn't because my hands were cold and in my pockets. I was bored and took my eyes off the lanes for a minute. Cousin hunting the property next to me saw him. Its a decent 6pt. Wasnt a shooter so all good. Wont happen again though
