Dead calm. Can hear the pine trees growing.

Haven’t seen much at all over the last few days. Hoping there is still one boy out there dumb enough to make a mistake.

Box on Mississippi River inside levee
28 degrees and calm

Just saw first deer of morning...solid young mainframe 8 point...came out as I was typing the weather conditions above. We had a stare down and he eased back from whence he came. He isn’t what I’m after. He will be better next year.

Ground blind off a corned up trail/crossing to bedding
Me 444
Son 308
Still at it trying to take our first deer this year. We will take any deer that is not a fawn

There were 5 doe (3 of them nice and fat) eating corn at this spot on a cold morning earlier this week.

We are watching crows and even a cat pass in front of the spypoint camera and its not sending pics, while it was sure to send pics of nothing throughout the night last night.

Good luck gents...

If I don’t shoot and kill anything from this tent before 11:30, the number of recorded casualties from the smell of my feet sweating in these boots is going to be devastating.

IDK the age but I saw one last weekend no bigger than a medium sized lab. Could’ve cooked her whole and probably ate bones and all.
