Me and Pops took the yaks out to Cocodrie. I caught 15 he caught 2. He's a much better hunter than fisherman. Had a great time. First time I've touched a rod since the twins arrived.

Some deer busted me this morning, never saw it but it definitely let me know it wasn't happy with my presence.

Moved farms and had a spike giving a doe and her big fawns a hard time at 4. Thought something fun might have happened given the action started so early but only had one yearling come into a foodplot right before dark.

Looking forward to the rain tomorrow (hopefully] and wind direction change.

Cro - you still in Madison Co.? I'll be out for the rest of the week in the stand. Hopefully seeing some rutting action. Seems very slow this year so far. Guys up there haven't seen a deer all day today.

Yup be here until a hammer is in my ice chest.

Bouncing between Madison and Attala. Looks like the rut up there will be a little before here which is arse backwards.

4 of us hunting morning and afternoon, saw zip. Most mosquitos ever. One advantage to a pop up blind is that the dark background inside makes the skeeters easy to hand grab. I killed at least a coup,e dozen this afternoon.
