I'm back on the stand after a short trip to the camp. Only one doe killed this morning. My uncle scoped himself though...nice cut above the eye. Anyone else ever did that?

Left my phone behind this morning, so no IST for me. Endend up seeing 4 and shooting this 90lb doe. The rage went to work on her at 20ish yards and she only went another 25.

Me and my 9 year got back in stand 30 minutes ago. Had two in the plot when we climbed up. Hope they come back around.

My butt is numb. Been sitting here since 6am with a 45 min break. Pretty quiet out here. Been watching the same squirrel go in and out of the woods all day.

ETA: I just farted and it smells like death on a cracker.

ETA#2: this big arse yellow jacket keeps trying to fly in my stand.

ETA#3: this small button buck just came out, looked my way, sniffed then hauled arse. I'm not kidding.

Back in the stand. No scent control what so ever.

Just had some kids come by me on a 4wheeler. frickers have no consideration for bow hunters.

Not sure where the prairie is.

We use to call the marsh "the prairie" There was "swamp" (wooded) Prairie "marsh", pie-fiene grass, cutgrass, etc.

All the old timers in and around the Lafitte area that I know call it the prairie
