Box stand in old logging set with scraps of rye grass and a feeder

Beautiful afternoon
Back in the stand for the afternoon after cleaning up from an eventful morning.
Had 3 bucks come out and feed for 30 minutes or so at the feeder. The biggest kept hitting his horns on the varmint guard and scaring the other ones.
After they left I thought I would be done seeing deer until dark when a doe and two fawns came out. Since I have 3 doe tags left to fill, she had bad timing.
After tracking her down and dragging her out, I walked back to my truck and drove back to get her. Left the truck running in the plot, both driver side doors open, and went to get the doe. When I got back to where I could see my feeder, the pigs had arrived. Slipped up to the truck, stood on the running board and propped on the top of the door for some bonus meat.
And as if that wasn’t enough luck for the day, I found my pocket knife I lost out here a month ago after killing a big boar hog.

Embassy Suites, Little Rock AR. 34degrees, wind from the west 8mph. Cloudy. Quite a few mallards in some backwater between here and my Grandma's near Jacksonville. Been posted up by window sneaking a smoke here and there. Pretty low deer density in this parts. Lotsa queer looking soyboys in skinny jeans, but apparently there's no season on them here and they may even be protected. Weird place. Not like back home, but Dad in ICU fighting for his life against COVID. Just standing guard in case death tries to sneak in and take him. I'm posted up like the tomb of the unknown. That boney mf'er in his gay arse monk robe ain't taking Pops without a fight. Not sure if skeletal death angels have nuts, but if he does...he won't when I'm done. And he better bring some back up. Just like COVID. shite didn't kill me, I killed that shite. I am the mf'ing infection. I'm in a bad mood and ready to frick Mr. Reaper up is he's dumb enough to bring his Biden voting arse around. Believe that.

I'm jealous. Shows how shite changes. I scheduled more time off to hunt than ever this year and have gotten to go less than when I was in my worst year of med school. Mf'ing COVID bullshite. I'm fricking ready to wreck shop on Dr.Fauci, the CDC, the all the dems, half the GOP and all the other mf'ers scaring people away from effective treatments and shutting down the economy. Someone asked me if Dad's condition change my mind about masks and everything else. shite no. It hardened it. If that shite worked, he would've been the last to get it. He said from day one if he got it, he'd die. He fricking wore a N95 24/7 and I shite you not a Tyvex decon suit when seeing symptomatic patients, then against his own damn knowledge would finish his HCQ when he went inpt. No evidence on it with remdesivir safety. No shite. HCQ has been around for 60 fricking yrs. Fauci and the shitheads got their remdesivir pushed through even though it don't do shite and HCQ has kicked it's arse in any non-biased study using appropriate doses. frick I'm pissed and ready to hunt...fricking liberals!!!!!!!

Late posting but got it done in Tensas parish today. He slipped by in the palmetto and I couldn’t see anything but antlers. Thought he was gone but after hitting the grunt call a few times he made a second pass and I was able to seal the deal.
