Box stand on creek crossing with V shaped shooting lanes full of scrapes

After bragging about seeing bucks chasing every day, I didn’t see a deer yesterday. Barometric pressure is back up this morning so we’ll see what movement is like

Good luck. I need to get out there, but just can't handle the dam cold.

Any action today? We hunt just south of Woodville and have been hearing of some early rut activity but I haven't been able to make it up there yet this week.

In my climber overlooking a Tunica creek bottom.

Have seen a doe by itself and a young tall rack buck chasing another doe. All out of bow range. Hopefully my luck changes this afternoon

Stopped work at lunch because I got that itch to hunt
30-06 in the box
I’ve probably missed most of the rut, but being in the blind is better than any day at work.

Good luck OB and be safe

Dressed a little warmer today. I thought I was a badass when it came to cold weather, until yesterday morning.

Water was very low and falling. Had a lot of mud flats that I hadn't seen before. And the grass was still alive and plentiful, thats part of what made it so disappointing. Ice on the edges of the ponds, a strong north wind, plenty of food, and still no ducks. It's like they disappeared from last week to this week.
