just follow the wiring if possible and clean all grounds...depending on the type of light...the screw that mounts the light to the frame is the ground...you may have to go as far as cleaning all those as well...it may not be fun, but if you have the time one weekend day...clean everything and use dielectric grease(aka bulb grease) on all connections...or if you create any new terminal connections get some liquid electrical tape and apply liberally...

After a year my boat trailer was giving me fits...My buddy ripped all the wires out and ran extension cords and replaced all the lights with cheap (easy to replace lights)
Haven't had trouble since and it's been 2 years...

your best bet is to ground everything on the trailer to the ball and ground the wiring harness on the truck to the ball.

It might frick up for a minute when you first take off but it'll line out eventually

Start with the ground, and check the fuses. If that doesn't work, rewire the whole thing.
And no there is not anything more frustrating.

You're allergic to trailer wiring? I've never heard anyone say they are allergic to mosquitoes

i'm going to walmart right now to get a new strand of wires. i'm fairly damn certain it won't work, again, when i put it on. whoever comes up with the invention that fixes this kind of BS deserves to be a millionaire.

Yes, it sucks bad. The bites swell to a huge bump and itch like crazy. They get tumor big when bitten around the face for some reason.

I don't like messing around with old wiring to be honest. If it is a small job, I am always gonna pull it out and replace
