There's a fishing rodeo almost every weekend of the summer in Grand Isle. Most of them you won't know are taking place unless you're participating in it aside from some signage and gatherings around the weigh-ins.

Now the Tarpon Rodeo on the other hand, that'll get crazy and consume the island. That's the only one to avoid if you don't want the pandemonium.

from Memorial Day to Labor Day there are rodeos every weekend on the island. Some are big, and some are not. But they are there every weekend in that time span.

There's always a ton of boats every weekend in Grand Isle during the summer. You just have to deal with it.

It's going to be pandemonium until they fix those bridges before you get to the island

2-3 years ago I decided to go try and catch some crabs off the beach and didn't realize it was Tarpon Rodeo Weekend. Aside from having to slow down to almost a crawl in the middle of the island on the way back home it wasn't bad at all.
