Is it legal to squirrel hunt from a kayak on a WMA?

I have been pouring through the regulations and all I can find is that it is illegal to have a loaded gun in a boat under power on a wma. I take that to mean if I am paddling a kayak I am good to go?
The only thing I found on the Quadraped page is that it is illegal to shoot coons from a boat or motor vehicle.

Shouldn't be against any rules. My dad and I do it from our pirogue on occasion. Paddling isn't considered under power.

I've wondered that myself, but all I've ever seen is the part about it being underpower.
I don't see why it would be. Don't people float for ducks in kayaks/pirogues?

It is legal. Paddling is not considered under power.

My brother wacks the hell out of wood ducks in a river on the west side of the state. I just didn't know if it were legal on a WMA. I'm going paddle around sherburne and do some scouting and I was wondering if I can shoot squirrels since I saw a lot fishing last spring.

If you can’t shoot out of a floating object, duck hunters are fricked.

Yes but most shot squirrels sink

I'll be in a pretty narrow bayou. Most shots will be over land

Not sure about wma, but it’s legal to hunt squirrels from a boat under power. I argued with a game warden about that one day (yeah, I know), but he finally showed me the rule. Wouldn’t you know it? That sumbitch was right. I thought it was illegal.

From what I read that would be illegal on a wma since you can't have a loaded gun in one but yeah, I didn't see anything on that on private land

You have to be the only person alive that would argue with a warden that something is illegal. lmao!

Well, he’s a personal friend of mine and we were talking about it one day. Wasn’t an argument. I was on a bow stand and had a guy and his wife shooting squirrels about 40 yards from me out of the trees on my lease hanging over the water. Asked him about it a week or so later when I saw him. I was thinking of the rules regarding deer and what not.
