Inspecting Trees for Tree Climber/Saddle

Do any of you have any suggestions, documentation, or videos for inspecting trees before either using a tree climber or even saddles? I was tasked with creating something like this for a company safety meeting, and wanted to get the smartest people on the internets opinion.

That’s the best one I’ve heard!

I suggest looking up to the top of the tree to make sure that there are limbs and leaves are present.
Age 15 old boy made the mistake of climbing up a tree without even turning on a head light and climbed up 25ft. Once the sun started rising I realized it was very dead but figured it was to late and if it was gonna fall it would have an kept hunting.
Amazing how much wiser/scared I am at 45yr old

Don't climb a dead tree, a tree with a hornet's nest, or a tree that is too small or big for your climber. That should cover most of the problems.

Hook tree up to truck, pull on it a few times to make sure it doesn't budge. If it moves, find another tree. If it doesn't, go park truck and climb tree and enjoy the rest of the hunt.

Small O&G. Just trying to get creative with these safety meetings, and this was a great idea from one of our guys.
