I've always shied away from Dodge/Chrysler, but it seems they have gotten better.

If you want a always reliable truck, get a Tundra.
If you want a reasonably reliable truck, get a Ford
If you want a comfortable truck, get a Dodge.

I bought a 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie crew cab last year in January. Love it. The crew cab is massive..the back seats actually recline. The finishes are much nicer than ford in my opinion. I got the upgraded safety features, the truck practically drives itself. I paid 42k on a 55k sticker. To get the same feature in a ford I would have paid at least 12-15k more. Absolutely recommend the Ram, but don't think you would be making a mistake with a F150 either. For me it came down to the features I wanted and the price to get them.

Had ford and tundra. Loved the tundra but not 14mpg.
Sold tundra and bought ram 2500 diesel. Had it 2 years and been all over the country with it. 23 mpg and good ride and will pull anything you might ever want. No issues.

And more recently....

If you want to replace a transmission, but a gmc/Chevy.
