No tub. I snap his collar to a short piece of nylon on each side. The pieces of nylon are tied to a post.

Make sure the collar is snug or he could slip it.

Wet with hose, splash on water with shampoo and orange listerine (nothing cuts dog smell better), lather, rinse.

is he getting into stinky shite? Dogs don't need bathing under normal circumstances.

I ordinarily woukdnt care, he just found some Gawd Awful smelling shite to roll in. I've tried bathing him several different ways; in the tube, outside in a wash tub, just spraying with the hose.

Get nascar to dig you a pond so he can bathe himself.

I agree with the muzzle. I have a black lab mix who is getting ornery in her old age. Has never liked baths, so I muzzle her to keep from biting me. Once she's in the tub, it's all good..and the muzzle comes off.

I'm not sure what it would take to get my dog to bite me.

He knows better under all circumstances.

Unless I have a rock in my hand then all bets are off.

I can't believe how many of you would shoot your dog for biting you.

Well that means she should bath it
That was my solution. My dog would have died 5 years ago if I had to continue baths.

Yea, I have the opposites problem, if I don't shut the bathroom door I'd get greeted with a 90 pound Lab setting in the shower with me.

How many bullets did it take to fix that biting problem?

Yep. I can't tell you how many time the chocolate has poked her nose around the shower curtain, asking "Is it my turn yet?"

I sneak attack with the soap and then just throw a tennis ball into the pond.

But seriously, if he suddenly gets violent around the bath I'm guessing you're the second owner and the first owner fricked him up.

No, I'm the first owner. I've had him since he was a puppy. He would try to run away when bath time came but he never tried to bite. I would put him in the tub and talk to him and try to comfort him just like I had done with all my other dogs through life.

You may wan to try putting him in the tub with no water and just make him sit there, until he gets used to that. Then try water in the tub a couple of times (I usually only have an inch or two of water in the tub). Then try putting water on him. Then after a couple more times put shampoo on him.

He goes into the tub on his own all the time. Especially if it's still wet from my wife taking a bath. It's just when I try to put him in there

Let her bath him then. My wife baths my dog and she slaps the shite out of him when he acts up.

Not that she talked me out of killing him, just not to do it right then.
