I'm telling you if he does that again throw him arse down and shake the fool out of him. He has to know that is not to be tolerated.

Would getting him clipped at 2 be too late to make a difference?

Yes getting him cut at any age will help. Bathing one sucks, my big arse american bulldog was not happy about getting a bath, the water scared the shite out of him. However, turn on the garden sprinkler and it was like a crack head who hasn't had a hit in 10 years. I would shampoo him when his arse got soaking wet then I'd let him play again to rinse, then just turn off the water and let him dry in the yard. The point is sometimes you gotta be creative.

Thats actually not a bad idea Zac. He acts just like that when the sprinkler is on too. Maybe I'll give that a shot tomorrow. I'm also making him an appointment to get de-nutted.

My limited experience as an amature dog trainer is it's tough to get rid of aggression. Once they get aggressive once you never know what will trigger it in the future. With kids to me that is something I am not willing to risk. While I won't shoot said dog I would put a sign up in the local feed stores and find him a new home.

Good luck no option is a great one here.

Damn, I just turn the hose on and my dog dives into it. Or leave the gate to the pool open.

Aggressive dogs are scary and hard to deal with. Never know when they'll snap agian.

My dogs go swimming in my damn pool daily.

The one time mine got aggressive with me, i bit the shite out of his ear and made him squeel. Straight turner and hooch style

No more aggression

Ive done this as well, it surprises them and works sometimes.

Will also bark back at dogs, it usually surprises them and they shut up.

Which dog did you bite?

My dog does better with washing outside with the water hose than bathtub. Give him treats every time you finish bathing.

Get rid of it before it bites your kids. Why wouldn't you at least get him fixed?
