I wouldn't call a perch jerker a hard core fisherman

Does the average North LA perch jerker have a Yeti?

I think not

Unfortunately the northshore has been taking over by city yats and will be Metairie in 10 years.

If you want the BEST mix of fishing and hunting in LA I don't think you can really say anywhere that's further than 3 hrs from the coast. If you don't care to saltwater fish then yea that's fine, go northern part of the state. But we've got some of the best inshore fishing in the country, you're missing out.

If you take salt out of the equation for me I'd say somewhere around three rivers or tensas, or somewhere around Toledo bend (depends if it's hunting season or not which way I swing )

I am from further out and it is now full of yats. You damn near have to go to Washington Parish to get away from them.

Hopefully they stay isolated in Mandeville haha. Northshore is close enough to everything I like to do. Good freshwater fishing, awesome saltwater fishing, and relatively good deer hunting. There are bigger deer on the northshore than most people think, which actually works out well. Not to mention the northshore is just a good place to live in general. Low crime, hardly any traffic (changing though), smaller towns, etc.

If I didn't like to saltwater fish then I would move to Tensas. Catfish and bass just can't compare to trout for me.
