Are you suggesting the meat of a 4.5yo buck at the height of rut, tastes the same as a 9-10 month old yearling and its because I'm cleaning one of them wrong?
I wasn't suggesting it. I was flat out saying it. You have to handle the 4.5 year old buck a little differently but if your shot placement and handling are on point there isn't much of a difference. I have a hind quarter from a 4 yo buck in my freezer that when thawed i would be able to stick my finger through it.

Duck hunting
I wholeheartedly agree on banning the mud motors.
Keep 60 day season but drop daily limit to 3 ducks.

Remove the non-sense night-hunting laws in regards to nuisance quadrupeds.
you shouldn't need a permit and you shouldn't have to notify W&F as well as local Sherriff every time you go out after dark.

I typically don't want more regulations, but I wouldn't mind this. I have a family of four and we have only bought beef 2 or 3 times in the last 2 years. We use deer for all red meat, and we only go through about 4 deer per year.

News Flash; charter boats are not limiting out every day. Guys fishing 200+ days a year have difficult days and sometimes weeks/months.
Limit is going down on the westside in 2020 and possible min length, have not heard if the middle and east will change yet. There hasn't been a lot of guides leaving yet but if we have another tough year they will be cleaning up for real jobs. Calcasieu has reached carrying capacity on how many guides it can support and that was five years ago.

It shouldn’t be a statewide rule/law whatever, though.
Why shouldn't it be? Hunter numbers in Louisiana are on the decline which means declining revenue for LDWF to operate. Gotta make hunting here more attractive to out of state folks.

You cant think of anything that might go wrong in this scenario?

I don't know where you live but where I'm from there would suddenly be a lot of guys who decided they like to night hunt "hogs" with a qbeam if they could fly under the radar.

Raise the Annual Hunting License cost to $5,000.
reduce hunting pressure to pretty much lifetime holders

I will put good money on it happening, keep that under ya hat boi

Take away general deer rifle seasons on most in Louisiana WMAs and replace them with with a couple of muzzle loader/rifle lotto hunts. Also put some rack restrictions in place and allow fewer bucks and more does taken. Restrict ATV access to old folks and physically challenged unless you're retrieving game.

I am not upset about it. I have had way more 20 fish days than 30 so it'll make me feel better about myself
. I am not a fan of raising the minimum though. We still gotta eat!
