Even for all its shortcoming, I'd rather live here than anywhere else in the world. When I retire I'll spend my remaining days on the water or in the woods.

I'd be a lost soul if I didn't have my hunting and fishing hobbies in my life.

It's great man. Best fishing and best seafood in the US.

I'm thinking of getting me a place in Venice in about 5-7 yrs. Split time between here and there depending on the season. Will need some fishing guides to teach me the saltwater ropes.

To be 100% honest, I feel safer in New Orleans than BR

As do I

And still, I wanna move back to south BR so bad. My dad and I were talking Friday, he came to the conclusion that when he retires he is moving back BR, and he has his mind made up that he wants to live off river road so he can, "run and bike on the levy and watch all the girls run around in their short shorts"

But yeah, I gotta get back to S La soon or I'm gonna go crazy, besides for girls I'm dating at the moment that live on an hour/hour and a half away.. I can't tell you the last time I saw anything above an OT 6.. maybe back in March

Those pics that I posted are literally 5 minutes from my house in the nicest/wealthiest/low crime city in the state. 1.5 hours from the gulf, 2.5 hours from Venice. Biggest lake (salt/brackish water) in the state in your backyard with a lovely river right next door for water sports.

do you actually catch fish in the lake, not at the bridge ? not trolling or anything, just curious.

We have our honey holes for rat reds. Each time we go out we will catch at least a half dozen in a couple hours. Sometimes more. Most are between 15 and 17 inches. Also a shitload of croakers and galftops

We go in my buddy's little 15ft flatboat so we don't make it far out the mouth of the river. When we use a real boat, we fish the Rigolets and do very well

frick Br. Only reason I ever liked it while I was there is LSU sports and hot females at the bars. Not that I'm done with school, I hope to never have to be in Br more than a weekend

Couldnt agree more.
