I've been looking at the urban operator packs by tactical tailor and the rush 72 by 5.11.

Does anyone have any experience with these two or know of any other brands i should be looking at. I checked out a few condor packs as well, but i wasn't feeling them. It needs to be a 2-3 day pack with black as a color option.

:gulp:

ETA: I would go with the UO. I don't think the Rush is worth $80 bucks more.

ETA # 2: If Uncle Sam pays, get the Rush

I already have an issued one, but we are required to get a "civilian" one for our next deployment.

Assault pack? Lets call it a "selectable fire pack" for some of these people

I highly recommend Kifaru, but I don't know if they have black as an option.
Eagle Industries makes good kit.
London Bridge.
Tactical Tailor.
Spec Ops Brand.

Thanks for the advice.I looked at Kifaru the other day; they were a bit pricey, but they looked like quality packs.

No, I'm not a Merc just yet; im still pounding it for uncle Sam. I do plan on growing a nasty mustache down range though.

I have their 3 day pack. For 99 bucks its hard to beat. Holds a lot of stuff. Seems pretty stout as well. Right now I have enough MREs for 3 days, solar blanket, 2 pairs of hiking socks, fire starters, rope, change of clothes, solar blanket, knives, ammo and so on in it. Mine is green, not sure if they make it in black.

I'm probably going with the urban operator. I love tactical tailor's gear.

Also, I don't think i can be an operator operating operationally without something with operator in the name.

see if your command can get funds from ServMart to get some. Mine did before my deployment to Afghanistan in 2009.
