Looking for a solid pair of waders in the 250-350 price range. But does that exist? I've never been a serious duck hunter, only going a handful of times. However, I've been invited to be a repeat guest at a pretty badass place for the foreseeable future. I need a pair of waders, but I'm so far removed, I don't know what's good or bad these days. Any help would be appreciated. Looking for 1200 gram; size 13 boot. I like the bottomland pattern, but not married to it.

ETA: I said 250-350, but obviously anything sub 250 would be fantastic if such a thing exists; I just assume that's at least what I'll have to pay for something legit that doesn't leak.

Look up gator waders, my brother has some and he really likes them. Think I'm going to give them a whirl this winter.

What state are you hunting to want 1200G? Ive hunted in less than or right at 20 degrees and windy, and was fine in 400G.

In all honesty, Game Winner waders are awesome. No bells and whistles, but they are solid waders for being around $100. Ive had mine for 4 seasons and hunt with them 25-35 days out of the year on private and public land and they have stood up very well minus a few punctures but thats easy to patch

Agreed. I hunt in uninsulated breathable waders in NWOK all season. I layer underneath depending on the weather. The boots are 400gr. They're awesome and I've hunted 85F in teal season to late season single digits. Only in the coldest of cold do my feet start to have issues staying warm. Alpaca wool socks and some hot hands can handle almost anything.

The ones I use are the $140 ones from Academy, Magellan brand. I have a buddy who hunts in the hybrid Magellans and really likes them too. Below the waist is neoprene with 800gr boots and above the waist is uninsulated breathable material. I think they run $160.

Northwest MS; but the guys I'll be with said I needed "at least 1200." Just going off what was suggested. My feet do have a tendency to get cold quickly though.

Ive been using a pair of game winners for the last 3 years. They are still in perfect condition except slightly stained from the red mud in Whiteville, LA. Ive had to break ice multiple times before a hunt, and again, Ive never had issues with being cold under my waders.

You better try on the Academy brand and Roger's brand. I found them to be really small. I returned a pair to both academy and Roger's 2 years ago.
You can never go wrong with LaCrosse.

You got a lease up here, or hunting public? What area? I hunt a good bit around DeSoto, and Tunica, and over in Arky.

I wear 10.5 tennis shoes and either 10 or 11 in boots depending on the brand.

In the Magellan brand waders, I couldn't even get 10s on my feet and 11s were extremely tight. I wear 12s and with heavy socks they are as snug as you want.

Clarksdale. It's a private deal. My BIL is good friends with one of the owners, and they seemed to like me, so I get to go back

I will never be able to afford a membership there.

I've been using the new banded breathable insulated waders. They're great, very warm and much lighter than the equaders I used to use.

Honestly, go to Cabelas or Bass Pro and try on some of their in-house waders...very good quality and most come with lifetime warranty

Buy the Sitka’s for $1000, you’ll kill ducks, get laid, and look damn good doing it.....

Yeah I'm cheap . I buy academy on sale . Paid 70 bucks for the last pair 2 years ago . I have a hard time spending 400 on something I use for a month or so out of the year.

I have the rogers sporting goods grand refuge 2-1 breathable insulated waders and really like them. they have a zip out insulated liner that you can wash. they are very comfortable being they aren't neoprene and I wanna say I got them for $250. they are made by frog togg so you could also buy their brand. good thing about these is you can take the liner out for them warmer days.

I almost went with the Rogers, but I rather impulsively ordered the Gator brand "Shield" series. We'll see.

Thanks everyone for the recs
