if it took more than one I would be sorely dissappointed in you..

FWIW.. used to hammer woodcock there too.... way way back in the olden days

used to walk to that lake about half anhour after first light.. push up a basket load of ducks...

they would come right back 15 mins later - IF YOU DIDN"T SHOOT when they jumped...

came back in waves.. for about 2 hours.. rarely took that long..

I think the pipeline cut a drainage off.. that help keep that spot wet

I'm late to the party.

Salmon, I've hunted in Texas where deer come running to feeders. That is not the norm and had never seen it until that time. You really don't know what you're talking about and I have no string feelings towards baiting either way.

I keep reading RDM's posts over and over again. I am both dumbfounded and amazed at the same time.

Oh, and this thread has me thinking: What state has the most birds bagged PER HUNTER? I know Louisiana bags a shite ton of ducks, but we also have a shite ton of hunters.

oops. Pos phone.

Truth is, the only thing I've shot under a feeder in years is hogs. I really use them more to keep does in an area then shoot their boyfriends off their butts during the rutt. That and I like to set cameras on them to get a good idea of what's in the area.

You're tellin me man. I'm paying for a hunt this weekend so I'm hoping this will change it for me. The places I have been hold birds, but the weather has been very less than ideal every time out.

If i had the means to buy a piece of property, grow corn it, then flood it, you can bet your arse I would be slaughtering ducks there.

I am not above manipulating animals natural instincts in order to kill more of them.

An old man I hunted with when I was younger told me he used to glue yellow beads to a cast net and throw it in front of his blind.
