Thanks for this idea. Just ordered one for my 4 wheeler. To those of you that do this, any specific spot that you find is the best to store on the bike? Also, how do you attach it in said spot?

TIA

My plan was to duct tape it to the top of the inside of the little trunk on the back where it's not easily seen. Not sure if that will impede the signal or not? If so, taped under the seat somewhere.

I put all the ones I have in little waterproof cases, they have strong 3M double sided tape on them to help attach them places. No issue with them not getting signal. You can get magnetic versions as well.

I've had a 15 HP Yamaha outboard stolen off a boat. That was about 3500 bucks down the drain.

Man…… that just really bites.
I’ve had my place broken into and it’s a violation of your personal space. My cousin lives in that are? He went to North Dakota to work for 4 months. Came back and he was literally wiped out. They even took his damn dirty clothes.
Good luck to you…….

I started putting AirTags on all our equipment, tractors, mowers, ATVs, etc. Took them apart and disabled the speaker to make them harder for someone to find when they get alerted an AirTag is present. Not foolproof but might make it easier to recover if anything goes missing.

I put a Pebblebee tracking device (similar to an Apple Airtag) on my motorcycle in a place that will take awhile to find. The thing looks like a credit card and lays flat so it's easy to conceal. If the bike is stolen and out of range I get a notification on my phone and Apple Watch and I use the Find My Devices feature on either to track it down. Not infallible but gives me peace of mind. I have one in my car as well and on all my key fobs for my vehicles and it works great for checked luggage when traveling. Good luck, hope you find the thief who stole it.

Tracker story: There was a guy in north LA a few years ago that apparently had a mental illness about stealing stuff. He did not sell it; just hoarded it all in a barn. He didn't get caught until he took a piece of equipment from a work site that had a tracker. The victim-company called the sheriff in the parish where it was pinging, and deputies found the barn crammed full of tractors, ATVs, etc.
