I guess no one has seen the new Mississippi deer draw format.

Yea saw this yesterday. I just applied close to home at one place. I am wondering if the duck draws will be the same. I have put in for deer draws for four years and never been drawn anywhere. Haven't been drawn on duck draws for two straight years. Used to at least get 1.

I’ve drawn Panther, Canemount and Phil Bryant the last few years but this new format is going to force people to prioritize time and I think I like it.

I send post a link to my Mississippi Parks and Wildlife account. Google is your friend.

I’ve drawn Panther,

How have the draw hunts at Panther been lately as far as crowds go? I quit hunting there 5 or 6 years ago because of the pressure. That damn campground that advertises it on facebook ruined it.

Its just public land, right? I ask because you have to be drawn for a license to hunt big game in most of the west even if you are hunting private property. It would not be surprising to see that creeping eastward....

Is this for WMAs or something?

We've had this in Arkansas for a while. Muzzleloader weekends and typically opening rifle weekend on WMAs have to be drawn to hunt. We can only choose two to apply for. It's not that bad and keeps the woods not as crowded

They draw too many folks for the muzzy hunt at Panther. Way too many for my liking but the opportunity to kill a stud is always there so I continue to put in.

Yes, the state run WMAs….. not the Federal stuff.
