Wife has installed zip ties to the Shepard hooks and they are using them to perch. Seems to keep them around longer than just eating and flying off.
Anyone trying this?

I buy the feeders with a perch, I find that they do hang around longer
Also I have a vine on a trellis next to the feeders they like to use

Only 1 this morning in BR
Haven’t had any in the evening in a few days

The last few years I had honeysuckle on a trellis which they loved. But the plants did not survive last winter. I have new plants growing, but they won't bloom until next year. One of the last two feeders still out is hung on my string lights around my deck. They line up on the rope supporting the lights.
