You'll have accuracy issues if you clean all your guns after every use, especially bolt guns. You should clean your rifles after the first 20 rounds, then 100 rounds, then 500, then 1k.

If I bring a gun to the range and use it, I clean it, with the exception of .22's.
Every time.
I have a Ruger 10/22 that I would clean every 1000 rounds or so, and it was rarely dirty even with all that use.
AK's can get dirty, but it does not affect functionality, but I still like to keep all my guns clean.
My CETME seems to get the dirtiest. Probably the cheap Eastern Euro .308 milsurp I use, but no feeding or extraction/ejection issues ever.

That's just a waste of time
It's never a bad thing to remove slowly corrosive stuff from a gun. Besides, I have nothing better to do during the week sometimes. Just use the ole coffee table and pop a show/news on.
Am I crazy here, or do any of the rest of you enjoy the process of taking apart and cleaning your guns?

In theory, after every use.
In practice, probably 3 times a year.

I enjoy it. But, like Tots mentioned earlier, I take at least 4 at a time. Rifles and/or pistols. Stripping and cleaning would be an ordeal every time. I'd rather spend more time behind the sights. I'm not worried about the rifles that much (can wipe down the bcg real quick and run a rag in the upper receiver). Pistols usually get cleaned after every trip.
Shot my 300 blk suppressed for the first time, and Holyyyy Crap, that got dirty quick. Only put 80 rounds down range. I expected as much, though. There was a lot of residue on the bcg, in the receiver, and the fcg. I'll probably try to clean after each use, especially if heavy use.

Yeah dude... I've only seen one gun that had a can on it, and it was damn near sludgy like horrible. Made me immediately uninterested in owning one haha.
I usually take one pistol and my AR when I go, so 2 guns isn't that big of a deal to clean. 4 does take some time, so that's the sorta thing I need to know I have 2 free hours (at my leisurely rate).

I'm more like 1 time every three years. I don't shoot that much though. Most of them have never been shot.

Shoot a bolt gun with a can and youll immediately want one again.
As far as cleaning my AR, maybe every 6 months to a year. I shoot it a lot less than I used to, but to clean that thing everytime is a waste of time. I dont even clean my custom bolt gun, but every 400-500 rounds. They just dont need to be cleaned that often.
I mean if its raining or something thats a different story, Ill wipe it down.

Twice in 9 years, I haven't shot it yet though.

I enjoy this. Very relaxing, IMO.
Back when I smoked, I'd light a stogie, go out to my bench and just clean em and listen to the radio.
