Dove hunted the river Sunday afternoon to also semi scout with the kids- had one dove come in, whacked it with one shot, never saw another dove or a single teal.

Not a good sign.

Outside, but they're moving closer. They just started getting back on rigs/5-8ft of water. Was going to fish the deep hole on Dennis if I made it down that way to see if they were moving in yet - but we decided to go East.

Shouldn't be long and they'll be in Passes.

Side Note: if you ever hear of a camp coming up for sale down that way let me know. silverpoon985@gmail.com (I am tired of riding that river both ways every day haha)

Ran around the lease in Delacroix yesterday and saw 50-60 but just too spread out to justify a hunt this morning. Such a stark contrast to last years last two weekends. Kinda worried because we need teal to have a good season. I have access to a lease around PALH so may have to take longer drives this year. Being a duck hunter in Louisiana requires a level of resilience that many will never know in their life lol

Hunted north of Port Barre this morning. Had a bunch of flocks of 10-12 coming in but shot like shite. 4 of us killed 6. Could have been limits.

Hunted around Eunice. 12 yesterday and 11 today. Was a grind though. Birds around but they don’t want to work.

You can tell they been hammered over the last 9 days
