Sounds dumb but it depends how many people are on the boat. If there are 4 people, I only bring 2. If it's just me and my dad I'll bring a Carolina rig, jig, top water, and vudu under a popping cori. Cover all my bases so I can be lazy

I've got 14 holes in rod storage and they stay full.

1 - Weightless plastic (Senko)
1 - Weighted Plastic

Let me guess, you hate going with anyone else?
Not really but I do get frustrated when I don't have a rod I've already got a certain bait on & don't have it with me
You ought to see the mess when I catch a big fish in one of the big fish hourly weigh-ins & I'm in a hurry

1 for bottom
1 for sacs
Specks/red:
1 for live bait
1 for plastics
small tackle box that a child could carry. Not many baits needed

I bring 3 but only ever use one. Can't remember throwing something other than a gold spoon the past 20 times I've gone

I usually take 5 in the yak offshore.
1- pitch rod for cobia/tarpon
2- bottom jigging rods, lighter one can double as a trolling rod
1- dedicated king rod
1- sabooki rig rod

Yup: just screwing around.

Using a Sabiki might be my favorite thing about offshore fishing

Of course I love sight fishing the mangroves and cobia and pulling up some stud grouper and AJ but there's just something about that Sabiki
