Pretty sure it's 24 hours. But you should check the regs to be safe.

Water flow and water temperature will dictate. I do 3-5. Every 3 days when they are full of blues, every 5 when trying to catch yellow cat with buffalo nets.

5 days. If your nets are in a good spot you will fill it with fish.

I wouldn’t leave it a week, if it gets full the fish could suffocate.
3 days sounds about right

Awesome, What did you bait it with? I saw a guy selling some small catfish traps and thought about picking up a few? I chummed up a bunch of catfish to the pier using Chicken Livers. I caught a snapping turtle that was MASSIVE on a trout Line when I did it. Curious as to what you used for bait if any

I used Cottonseed Cake n my catfish traps. Works great.

It also helped me get all the turtles out of my pond.

Judging by the ones I've snagged over the years, 6 months is the proper soak time.

Was wondering the same thing. Used to be readily available at most feed stores but the price is outrageous for it now. You can find it online but it’s expensive

Some co-ops have it... but when I can’t find it in BR - my old man gets it at bait stands n North LA.

We use soybean cake presoaked it for a day or two then set in the net for 3 days. Have had a couple nets die when left longer than that. As long as the net is in good water, you can leave for longer.

We have never set a net out for less than 5 days unless we planned to move it.
