Have a 3 year old one- bought new has 172,000 HARD sugarcane field miles on it.
Pulling 14,000 on a gooseneck- been to Michigan and back with a tractor behind it. Once, I had 2 tractors on the goosneck because I was too lazy to get a lowboy.
Once had a tech tell me- “You can’t drive through thigh deep ruts to get there”. Watch me.
Never been stuck- use the skinny pedal with reckless abandon.
Buuuuut- maintenance by the book. Engine, trans, transfer case, cooling package, By the book. Never been in the shop.
Highly recommended.
If I can’t kill a truck, it is unkillable. They are nothing more than a tool for me.

What transmissions come in the newer body style? Also, the new 6.0 doesn’t have the VVT do they?

how do you feel about this truck? i'm kind of in a bind with my '06 wrangler. i'll need to sell it. i have the title, but i used a personal loan to pay for it instead of a car loan. i feel like the price may be a little high, but i'm at the mercy of then giving me the payoff on my wrangler so i don't think i can haggle them down.

Price is pretty high in my opinion. I wouldn't pay near that but I am a closet jew so.

Yeah, I thought so. A guy on Facebook is selling an ‘11 work truck with 286,000 miles on it. A brand new GM transmission.
$10,900.
Looks exactly like the one I posted above bits it’s a Silverado.

I have an 06 1500 HD with the 6.0. I bought it from my FIL because it had a lifter issue. After further research and pulling the motor, I came to find out the 6.0 (Atleast in that time frame) had issues with the lifters getting pits and marring the cam, this making a loud ticking noise at low RPM. I doubt it’s every 6.0 but it did seem like more than a coincidence on these engines.
