I can pick a backlash and catch a spec at the same time. Done it more than once

Its a damn shame. I dont think powpow has ever gotten hung up or backlashed.

My 2 baitcasters with power pro on them I backlash like a mofo all the time, I fricking hate braid so much when I'm casting, but love it when actually fishing the bait back to the boat.

That's my measure of success. If I don't get hung up, it was a good cast

I'm pretty accurate at pitching and flipping, its overhead that I need to work on. I have also gotten fairly decent at "shooting docks" with my ultra lights.

When fishing in open water or in the marsh I can hit my spots. (hit the pilings on bridges, let the lure land on the marsh grass and gently slide in the , etc.)

However take me bass fishing with tree branches, lay downs, and other complications...I am just happy when I don't get hung up. I have put several buzz baits 20-30' up cypress trees. I have a terrible habit of putting a lot of arc on my casts which is fine in open water, but not so good for fishing around trees. Over the last couple of years I have been forced to fish jigs and gotten much better at flipping. At least when flipping i only get caught in places i can actually reach.

Most of the time I can hit the water from the front deck of my boat. In the back I make no promises.
