I can’t seem to find any updated info if they’re open or not. Google maps says they’re temporarily closed. Tried calling and just rings.

I know it was closed last weekend but this morning the website shows that it is back open.

Would still call to verify before going though.

The water has been high as of late and could be the cause of the temporary closing.

Was trying to stop there this Friday to check my rifles before heading to MS. Any other options near there?

pre covid we had upwards of 120 active range officers

attrition through many factors...retirements...lack of interest...changes in life...job changes due to covid(no covid deaths I am aware of though)

we are down to around 70+ range officers...we just don't have the manpower to staff 2 shifts on Saturday and Sunday...

We are volunteers doing the best we can and I hope everyone understands that.

Definitely understand and appreciate. This is just the first I had heard of that. Glad I saw this post, because I would have been there at 7:30 otherwise.

This range is close to the Honey Island range, and isn't affected by high water. Has a little more flexible hours.

Im a member there as well they are only open to the public on saturday and sunday mornings at 10am
Sometimes they are closed to the public due to scheduled matches

If we shoot on a Saturday or Sunday, we leave well before 10am, as it becomes a madhouse and I dont feel as safe there

We became members because of the U shaped berms aand the ability to shoot to the sides walking into the berm shooting...that, and you can draw from a holster there

That is exactly the reason that I refuse to go. No range officers. Last time I went, I was down range with nobody else on that range, and ole boy gets there with his young son and they both started to uncase their rifles and get it set up pointed down range before I came back. Nobody to tell them otherwise.

Pepperidge, are y’all open Sunday, google says hours may be affected by NYE. I know they do that for all businesses for all holidays but wanted to be sure before heading out there.
