The SBE2 issue occurs during what most consider normal bolt closing, whereas I've never seen that occur nor hear of it with an Xtrema2.
Cough cough horseshite. 99.9% of the time this happens when you try to ease the bolt closed. I have honestly never heard of it happening on a 2nd or 3rd shot. And yes the dear and beloved Extrema2 has it happen as well. Simple fix to the problem though, let the bolt slam shut like it's intended to operate

There's a reason it's called the "Benelli Click" and not the Beretta, Browning, etc. Click. You mean to tell us that Benelli users are the only ones trying to quietly ease their bolt shut on a hunt? The spring on the Benelli's inertia system makes that particular gun more prone to this, even occasionally under "normal" breech closures. If this weren't the case, surely you'd hear about it with other guns as prevalently as you do with the SBE2, but ya don't! I, and others, only made the observation that other rotating bolt autos (including gas guns like the Xtrema) are prone to it when trying to be quiet.

Happened to me a few times. ETA: Always on the first shot though, never the second or third or fourth or fif!

That's just simply not true.
Sorry

Though it's definitely not the norm, it can, and does happen. Have seen it myself in the blind. In other words, the infamous Benelli Click didn't originate solely from people trying to be quiet.

The only way it can happen is if the gun bangs something forcing the bolt back (which on both my Super Vinci and my SBE2 would take quite a blow) or by opening the bolt to see if a round is in the chamber and the bolt not being forced to close completely.
It happened to me once and it was because of the later.

This guy apparently has a solution, but the video doesn't detail how he "fixed" it.
LINK
He points out that, in fact, during a normal "slam" of the bolt, it can even occasionally bounce backward from the closed position (see 1:08 in vid) Maybe one day he'll market his fix.

Now this is on thing that I agree with.

I think I'm going to lean towards the side of the guys who own the guns rather than the beretta fanboys on this one.

Smart man Boats
ETA: FWIW I was always a Browning guy. But when it came time for a new duck gun I decided to get whatever felt best in my hands. The SBE II felt a ton better to me. Not taking anything away from Browning or Beretta either one. They are both excellent shotguns. Hell to be perfectly honest if you're going for pure reliability in a semi auto then throw the Beretta down and the Benelli down and pick up a Browning Silver. For a lil over $800 you can get a 3-1/2" gun that'll chunk whatever you put in it. But still it doesn't feel like the Benelli to me
