Might be taking my boy down to stay for a weekend and take a charter trip on Sunday. I know there is not much down that way, but which lodges/cabins/hotels do you OB experts recommend?

He will be wanting to fish from the road as well as try and catch some crabs while there also.
Thanks

Fins and Feathers is where we've stayed several times and they are pretty nice- comparatively speaking. Check with Venice Marina and Cypress Cove to see if they have anything available for the night as well.

Are you going to be inshore or offshore fishing with charter?? I would get with fish venice charters(Eddie Burger) or Coastwide Charters(Chad Audibert) are good ones. Most guides have inshore boats as well. If your just wanting a hotel I usually just stay at Venice inn by dollar store light house has gone way up on price was like 150$ night few months ago. 150$ night for light house is insanity imo...

I’ve stayed at the camps at Native Adventures many times, ten minutes from Venice Marina. Located at the Buras water tower.

Someone else is lining up the charter, I’m just not sure what weekend yet.
Just looking for a possible clean place to stay on a Friday and Saturday night.

Lighthouse isn’t bad. I think cypress cove just finished up some work at their hotel and should have some rooms ready by now, but not positive on that.

Cody's Rainbow Reds in Venice Marina. It's a decent enough houseboat with everything you need. Not the nicest in the marina but one of the cheapest. I've stayed here at least 15 different times.

If everything is booked up, Patty's Place Bed & Breakfast is just up the road in Buras. I've stayed there a few times and it's pretty nice.

I have a buddy who is working on a big project down there just past Phillips 66. He said everything is booked solid with workers.

People renting camps for 3k a week.

Not to derail, but there’s a lot to process here. Nicole’s knocked up and our camps on the Highway are renting for 3k a week. Sign me up for the latter!!
