And a good one.

But the 450 yamaha is a turd and the 420 honda auto with eps costs 90 bazillion dollars

However, I will say this, that is the best 4wheeler honda makes. By a lot.

My buddy does crop inspection on them. Other than the odd seal, gtg.

ETA: what chinese engine do you have with 17k?

What heat issues are the Honda’s having specifically? Just warm for the occupants or things melting?

Also, when would be the best time to buy a SxS?

Recalls were for melting things. But 1000s have cab heat issues. All of them.

My old yamaha would routinely get 160+ degrees in the cab.

My Honda would melt all of the ice in an OB special in a few hours. Literally would have to stop riding after an hour or two. Would prop the doors open while riding. All of it.

New rzr was like that. Put a wolfsnout insulation kit in it and a shite ton of closed cell foam.

The Honda is the right pick

Spent a lot of time on a brand new 450 kodiak this year and the fenders are designed horribly and the handlebars vibrate so bad your hands go numb in 15 minutes.

The Honda has no such issues and will probably last longer to boot.

Probably the best one made right now. I only went Polaris because I don't buy first year bikes and needed more room.

Installed a fan under the front seat and ran it on a switch. I kick it on if riding a lot or real slow.

My frst atv was a 1998 yamaha big bear 350 4wd. Ran great until i sold it in 2008. I upgraded in 2008 to a Yamaha 700 Grizzly EPS fuel injected. Still have it today. Only did oil changes to both each year.

You cant go wrong with a Yamaha.

I was a fan until my very low hour renegade grenaded with no warning going less than 20. Canam told me to kick rocks. I've never bought another of their products.

This describes me and Honda. I think I'm the only one.

2005 Foreman 500 oil pump grenaded and engine seized with 9.5 hrs. Took the dealership 2 mos to replace engine, once Honda was satisfied it hadn't been abused. I was 21 and promised Honda I'd never give them another red cent, though I know they generally make good stuff.

I can't even begin to describe how rare that is

You sure you didn't install the oil filter backwards? It happens. A lot.

I had a 400ex waaaaay back when.

Honda forgot to put a shim on one of the gears. 3 years later things wore in and the transmission locked up. A guy at rads dove into that motor and found the problem. I took it to GN gonzales, and Honda told the dealer tough shite. Mr. George bought it from me at clean trade. Said it wasn't right and that's not how a company should do business. I bought an 05 foreman from him because of it.

Hated the bike and later traded it in. But I only did business with him until he passed.

Ha. At 9.5 hours I hadn't even looked for the oil filter. My damm luck. Had they acknowledged the rarity of the case and extended the warranty the amount of time they kept the bike, we'd've been good. Instead, they treated me like a chump. My dad wants a Pioneer for the farm and I need to be the one to buy it. Just can't do it.

So that I'm contributing to the thread ... if I were buying an ATV right now, it'd be a Kodiak 700.
