If you have your trailers brakes set -up correctly and don’t plan on driving like a pissed off teenager, you should be just fine.

I had a Chevy 1500 4x4 a few years back. It had the 5.3 with 3.42 gears.
My MIL bought a 28ft bumper pull at Berryland that I was voluntold to pick up. That was a long ride down I-55 with that thing. I had the sway control, weight distribution hitch and a brake controller. Never again.
Will it pull it- yes. Is it designed for a travel trailer on the interstate? No .
Every time an 18 wheeler went by the whole rig swayed. The tail was wagging the dog. Stopping wasn’t an issue because I didn’t get over 50. I bought a 3/4 ton not long after that and haven’t looked back.
