I slaughtered a break a few times on fly rods there. Had a few good bass trips as well. With the bream I got to where I would just stop at certain spots and pull 10 or so bream out the move on. I had better trips size wise to the south but had to fight people.

A little off topic but are the pits off Two O' Clock still open to the public? I caught my personal best bass in one way back in the eighties. I haven't been there in decades and remember how good the fishing used to be in there.

Celltech mentioned it on the first page.

I assume that’s the same thing you’re talking about. They were marked posted for a while.

Cool. I remember in the spring the water was so clear you could see the fish going nuts under the boat. Also had a LOT of grass. Best bait was a Rapala minnow fished just under the surface, although I caught my hawg on an old-school jig n' pig. Tons of choupique too. Good memories...

That's for sure

It's a beautiful place to fish, though. I was thinking about going out there this weekend. But, with this heat warning, I will probably stay home.

Yeah no fun when it's hot like this. Just got back from the beach and I dread going out to cut the grass. I hear it rained every day we were gone.

Last week the water in those pits looked stagnant AF.

I was thinking about going this weekend but it's just too damn hot.

Decided I’m going to hit up one of these places really early tomorrow morning and get out by 10 am. Even sooner if the fish aren’t biting. Probably Lil Bama since it would probably require the least amount of paddling.

Just looked this up. How is it in there?

Any bigger boats go in there?

Mostly smaller aluminum boats. But there’s no reason I couldn’t put my bass boat in there. Pretty deep in the middle and not much water hazard except near the bank. I’ve just never seen anything other than smaller aluminum boats.

Video I did a few months back

No. It’s in the wma, so you just have to stop and fill out the self clearing permit on the way in.

Sure. But be aware the ramp, while it is in good shape, is very steep. I wouldn't want to put in my 18 foot CC without 4WD.

I've found it's more of a PITA to launch and take out my yak at a regular ramp. Are there any accessible areas where I could launch from the bank?

I used to put my bass boat in there all the time. I would advise that it is deep but there are plenty of logs to look out for.

The worst part of fishing there is that dang gravel road. By the time you get there everything you own will be brown from dust.

That's the biggest reason I haven't taken my boat in there.

You pretty much got the one spot.

That being the boat launch itself or one spot on the bank?
