Has anyone ever won an auction, or purchased a weapon from Guns.com? If so, please tell me about your experience.

I won an auction last month, on August 2nd. Paid on August 3rd and it still hasn’t shipped. I’ve tried to contact them through email, and I just get the standard canned responses. There’s also no number to call in order to speak to a person. At this point, I’m a tad irritated.

Has anyone else dealt with this before?

I've bought a couple of guns from there.

Didn't have any issues at all.

So, it's been a month and it hasn't shipped? Yeah, I'd call and see what's going on. If you don't get the answer you want, call your credit card company and dispute the payment.

I've purchased quite a few from there and they all shipped within a week or so. I'd be raising hell

Yeah, the weird part is that the charge showed up after I paid, but since has gone away. So, it appears as though I haven’t paid yet. But I’d love to get ahold of a damn human to tell me what’s going on. Apparently that’s not an option with them.

My guess is dealer sold the gun outside of the auction and doesn’t want to admit it.

Huh, I hadn’t considered that. It was an auction where the proceeds went to “Gun Owners of America.” I’m curious to know if that has anything to do with it. Eh, I guess we’ll see.

Just a tad?

At this point, I would be irate.

Good luck. Something clearly isn't right.

Speaking of, what is the go to place for buying/searching for a used gun online? Guns.com, gunbroker, guns international?

I bought one from gunsinternational this month. Stock was cracked so i sent it back. Very nervous about receiving the gunafter they got my money. Very nervous about getting my money back after i returned the gun. It all worked out but man thats a whole lot of unnecessary stress.

Gunbroker is probably the best, stock wise. I just can't stand the shipping charges, the 3% credit card fee, and sales tax.

Guns.Com is usually overpriced but if there's a good optic on a pistol, I make an offer, buy it. Take the optic for a pistol I already have, and sell the gun for the same price I bought it. I've done this no less than 4-5 times
